After a week of relaxing by the pool, sipping tropical cocktails, enjoying fresh seafood and taking romantic strolls along the beach at sunset, I proposed to my partner in the tropical surrounds of Bramston Beach House.
Spend your vacation in Port Douglas’ first-class beach where the deep blue Coral Sea is greeted by the lush tropical rainforests. Nestled between two of the World Heritage listed areas, the Oak Beach presents tourists both the magnificent beauty of the Daintree National Park and the breathtaking scenery of the Great Barrier Reef, not to mention the diverse variety of species that can be sighted in both places. This beach has a lot to offer on its own, with its powdery white sand that’s lined up with majestic palm trees protected by a rock-strewn peninsula. Because of its exclusive reputation, visiting tourists get to enjoy the beach and the several water sports and activities in the most private way possible. They can relax under the shades of the trees, set up picnics on the coastline, or get that perfect tan without any hassle.
Its untouched beauty has attracted tourists and locals alike and tourism has become its primary point of interest as of now, as compared to the earlier times when it was discovered by the Europeans and most of its land was used for agriculture and mining. Oak Beach tops the other Australian beaches with its unique geographical attributes where the rainforests thriving in the mountain ranges of Cairns steeps down and comes across the white coral coast of the Coral Sea.
Since the beach is highly regarded in this travel destination, swimming has become the most common tourist activity here. The cold and clear water of the Coral Sea is very inviting especially during summer season when the heat is almost unbearable. Taking a dip in the ocean will not only calm your senses but will also give you the chance to mingle with various species of fish that swarm near the coast line. Snorkeling and scuba diving is also popular since the beach is very accessible to the Great Barrier Reef, which is considered every diver’s dream destination. Kayaking and other kinds of water sports are lined up for the tourists to enjoy. You can visit the other beaches that run in the southern tip of Port Douglas such as the Thala Beach, Wangetti Beach, and Ellis Beach, if you feel like beach hopping. Nature trippers can also arrange guided tours to the neighboring nature attractions like the Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation National Park for an extensive hike in the Queensland wilderness.
Another favorite past time among visitors is shopping. There are several souvenir shops, specialty stores, craft shops, and high-end boutiques located in the Wharf and Macrossan Streets in the area of Port Douglas, which is about 10 minutes away from the beach. Delis and a number of gourmet restaurant bars and bistros also line up the Macrossan Street Seafood, which is within the beach’s proximity as well.
This tropical beach destination can be accessed by means of the Captain Cook Highway, driving to the north direction of Cairns. Look for the sign directing to the Oak Beach then just follow the road from this point. The wonderful experience brought about by spending a day in this hidden paradise can only justify the need to consider the Bramstom Beach House as your choice in accommodation. This luxurious beachfront home will surely offer you more time to relax with its cozy atmosphere and modern furnishings made available for your convenience. To get to this deluxe home, take the Bruce Highway driving straight to Mirwinni from the town of Cairns. Then make a left turn at Bramston Beach Road and then a right at the Evans Road.
